Sullivan’s Island Fire Station and Maintenance Building

Sullivan’s Island Fire Station and Maintenance Building

A fire station completed in 1991 received a complete makeover to modernize the dated facility. A sizable new maintenance building was also added to house the department’s fleet of emergency vehicles. The project includes replacing overhead doors with new bi-fold doors, which open faster in case of emergency, new living quarters with more bunk rooms for members, new meeting and exercise training rooms, and an elevator for access that was required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Red Bay’s scope of work included concrete foundations, slab on grade, and CMU for both the new fire station and the maintenance building.
